"Bâti"

Credits

The Bâti exhibition is a collective work, showing models, costumes, textile and scenographic objects, sketches, photographs, serigraphs, working notes, fragments of texts ... This set is all traces and works resulting from an artistic process. It was conducted over a school year by students from two applied arts courses at La Martinière-Diderot. The techniques and the aesthetics of the textile trades communicate with the architecture. Inspired by the anthropologist Tim Ingold’s work, this exhibition is a poetic dive in his thought that reaffirms the link between builder and the weaver. He invites us to look at the world by considering its lines, to perceive it as a weaving, to connect things that seem separate.

Aliénor Figueiredo and Mathilde Aschbacher worked together on Costume design and making for one of the performance that took place at the exhibition’s opening, staged by Raphaël Patout and performed by Josée Drevon.
